Is ArmoLingo free?
Yes, completely. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I back up my progress?
Open the Profile tab → tap Backup & restore → tap Export backup. Save the JSON file anywhere you like (iCloud Drive, Files, email, AirDrop). To restore, tap Import backup and pick the file.
My streak is gone, what happened?
Streaks reset to zero if you skip a day. To keep your streak alive, do at least one lesson (Learn or Heritage) each calendar day. There are no hearts and no lives, a wrong answer never locks you out, the missed word just gets queued for review later.
How do I enable the daily reminder?
Open the Profile tab → Settings → toggle Daily reminder on, then pick Morning, Lunch, or Evening. The notification is scheduled by your device, never sent through any server. You can change the slot or turn it off at any time.
What language is the app in?
The teaching language is Eastern Armenian (the standard spoken in the Republic of Armenia). The interface is in English. Every word ships with both the Armenian script and a Latin-letter transliteration so you can learn at your own pace.
Why are some words pronounced differently than I expect?
The audio was rendered with a neural text-to-speech model (ElevenLabs
eleven_v3, the only model that supports Armenian). We chose to ship 100%
audio coverage with a single consistent voice. A future version may layer in native
human recordings for high-frequency words.
How accurate are the historical maps?
The maps in the History tab are stylised illustrations of how Armenian-controlled territory shifted over time. They are not surveyed cartography. For academic work, please consult Robert H. Hewsen's Historical Atlas of Armenia or other authoritative sources.
How do I delete my data?
Open the Profile tab → tap Settings → scroll to Reset progress. Or simply uninstall the app, since everything is stored locally, removing the app removes all data.
